- This week you should complete your School of the Future Proposal and your School Design
- Next week you will videotape your presentations and everything is due
- I will also reveal the components of the Final for this semester.

- Continue working on your 6+ page proposal and school design.

- We are continuing our School off the Future project
- This week you should complete three more literature reviews and finish up all 12 by next week.
- Begin working on your Schoo Proposal using the guidelines handed out in class or on Teams.

- This is a week of working on Smash Journals and presenting them. You should have approximately 20 entries of 200-400 words each.

- Have your discussion materials ready for both sections to discuss
- Work on Smash Journals (make sure you bring your smash journal to the next class to work on. The following class we will present them and I will collect them for a grade. If you are distance learning you will need to take some images to send to me via email.)

- We will also begin reading The Assault by Harry Mulisch as we finish our trifecta of Holocaust based literature. THE FULL TEXT OF THE ASSAULT IS LOCATED IN TEAMS!

TASK LIST - WEEK OF january 4th
- Welcome back and Happy New Year
- We are beginning this semester by reading two Holocaust themed books and will be doing some activities and eventually a compare/contrast paper between the two.
- The first book is MAUS, the graphic novel, that won the Pulitzer Prize, and helped the graphic novel art form become more respected in literary circles. Below is a link to the novel in PDF form. I will be updating and informing you of assignments, and journals as you being reading the novel.
- You need to complete the reading of MAUS and all assignments for mouse posted on Teams by January 14th!

- You are to continue working on writing your four reviews for the online magazine. Make sure you email them to me directly with your name and period on the email! This is essential for me to keep track of all of the incoming reviews. I have thrown out the various positions and everyone (Distance Learners, Hybrid, and full-time) are to just do the 4 one and a half page "best in pop culture 2020" reviews for the final. REMEMBER THAT THIS IS YOUR FINAL. All four reviews should be submitted by December 9th at the latest.

Our essential question this year as we read and write is: What is Human Nature?
We will explore it from the get go with our first unit which is William Shakespeare's, The Tempest.
A few nuts and bolts of how this semester will work. Obviously we are living in strange times, using blended and distance learning models for our classes. We may go to a full distance learning model at some point so be prepared for that. In this class you will be expected to go to be using this website for weekly tasks/content/video lectures.
